It’s been a while since our last episode but Ricky Casanova has his phone back and he knows how to use it. For the letter ‘C’ we stopped by The Coach and Horses on Greek Street in Soho. Unfortunately our camera battery decided this was the day it was going to give us only three minutes of filming, which of course may not be a bad thing.
A special shoutout to TrashBlanc friend BeatmasterV who kindly agreed to partake in this episode’s crack in the jacks. Truly awful BV, thanks for nothing.
The more astute of you will notice we’ve ditched YouTube for the infinitely better blip.tv. We’ve also introduced a level of daylight and sobriety into proceedings. Not sure if they’re connected. We’ll let you know next time.
Next up, the Dolphin.
We’re looking for suggestions for quality London bars beginning with the letter C. An no, the Captains Cabin off Haymarket isn’t going to get a look-in. Let us know and we may even buy you a drink there over the next week or so.
There’s also a public service announcement to be made here at AZBarLondon.com. We had a quite emotional night up at the Boogaloo on Friday. Unfortunately Ricky Casanova had an even more emotional morning on Saturday when he realised he’d left his phone behind. Something to do with trying to talk to Jezza in the toilets I believe. Anyways, if you’re up Highgate way maybe have a look for the aforementioned phone for us. Ricky’d be ever so grateful.
It was with a heavy heart the AZBarLondon.com crew travelled up to the Boogaloo in Highgate on Friday night. But even Jezza would have to admit, the show must go on. And what a show. Instead of the usual banter about one of London’s finer drinking spots we’ve put together a little something especially for England’s favourite prankster.
RIP.
Boogaloo. A lot of you thought we wouldn’t have the cheek to keep up this epic pub trawl after our first episode. You were wrong. And this Friday we’re going for the bridesmaid letter of the alphabet.
A is the eternal lead-off hitter, but it’s our feeling here at azbarlondon.com that it’s B where the party really starts. And there may not be a better party pub in London than the Boogaloo on the Archway Road.

We left it a little late in the evening to hit the A10, but that only added some extra flavour. And a very special tribute to Bobby Fischer.
And of course thanks to Sikipedia.org for helping out with our Cracks in the Jacks.
The perhaps ridiculous project that is azbarlondon.com gets rolling tonight. The Amersham Arms came second and the Australian was in the mix too, but for sheer convenience on a cold rainy night in London we’re getting started with the the A10 (Russian Bar).
If you’re London come along, and check back here for our footage.
If there’s one thing we like as much as beer in a pub, it’s animals. Preferably the barking kind. The Mucky Pup in Angel is in the running for a visit half way through the year. Unless we can think of something better.
Thanks to Londonist for the heads-up. Keep the hound hints coming.
